About the journal

Skírnir is the journal of the Icelandic Literary Society and has been published since 1827, continuously with the exception of the year 1904.

The journal appears twice a year, in spring and autumn.

Contents

Skírnir publishes essays and articles on literature, language, history and philosophy.

Sigrún Margrét Guðmundsdóttir

The editor of Skírnir oversees the selection and preparation of material for both issues of the year.

Members of the Icelandic Literary Society receive Skírnir, two issues a year. To subscribe, contact the society's office by telephone or email.
