Skírnir is the journal of the Icelandic Literary Society and has been published since 1827, continuously with the exception of the year 1904.
The journal appears twice a year, in spring and autumn.

Skírnir appears alongside the society's book publishing, two issues a year.
Contents
Skírnir publishes essays and articles on literature, language, history and philosophy.
